On the morning of my Bright Angel Trail hike, a deer greets me at the campground. I had campsite #97.

The Bright Angel trail is one of the five corridor trails of the Grand Canyon. It's well-patroled and maintained by the National Park Service.
Near the trailhead, I initially video the First Tunnel. Near the end, I zoom in on The Battleship landform.

Feel free to get in the way of my shot at 0:04! (In actuality, I try to avoid videoing if people are nearby.) Videoing slightly "uptrail" of the First Tunnel. Zoom into the Plateau Point Trail at 0:12, which I would hike on my next visit to the Canyon in 2010.

Nearing the first switchback, which is located around a half a mile from the trailhead. Notice my meager backpack at 0:27. Trailview Overlook at 0:36, which gives a great overview of the Bright Angel Trail.

Mules approaching, right at the bottom of quick switchbacks before the last stretch until the 1.5-mile resthouse.

Good overview of where I'm at, including a view of the 3-mile resthouse. In the background you can hear a narration by a mule ride guide. He discusses the elevations of the North and South Rim. 7000 feet on the South, 8000 feet on the North.

I'm on an overlook behind the 3-mile resthouse. I zoom to Plateau Point and different parts of the trail.

With a foldout LCD screen, I get a better view of switchbacks "downtrail" from the 3-mile resthouse. Thunder can be heard in the background.

Resting frequently, ascending from the 3-mile resthouse. Good view of the resthouse around 0:20.
