I've visited 45 of the 51 national parks in the contiguous United States, which is 88% of the way to my goal of seeing them all. The six still on the list: Acadia, Biscayne, Cuyahoga Valley, Dry Tortugas, Everglades, and Indiana Dunes.

On the map below, green dots are parks I've been to and the bigger the dot, the more visits. Grand Canyon, my favorite, is the biggest of all. The shade shows how recently I was there: bright green for recent visits, darkening toward black for parks I haven't seen in years. Red rings are the ones I haven't reached yet. Gray rings are the 12 parks outside the lower 48 (in Alaska, Hawaiʻi, American Samoa, and the Virgin Islands), which aren't on my list, at least for now; to see them, use Show all 63 parks in the legend.
