Oak Tree Inn (Milford, UT) The Oak Tree Inn was a great place to stay on the edge of SR-21 leading to Baker, NV and Great Basin National Park. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. 24-hour diner, great room, not crowded! What more can you ask for? Forget 5-star hotels. This is paradise. Notice the dirt on the floor when I first come into the hallway. That was mine, I think. Sorry.

Oak Tree Inn (Milford, UT) Road trips are a lot of fun, but when I plan road trips I pack in a lot of stuff. Why? I'm paying a good chunk of money for all the accommodations, car rental, meals, gas, etc., so I like to get my money's worth out of the trip. In this case, there was condensation on the lens (the shower, I believe), but I really had to get moving in order to get to Great Basin, see stuff, and then be at Wendover, UT that night.

Great Basin National Park: Lehman Caves This was at the beginning of the tour, and I believe this is the Gothic Palace.

Great Basin National Park: Mather Point Mather Point offers a great view of Wheeler Peak. At the very beginning of the video, the first mountain I point at is Jeff Davis peak. The "or it might be that one" is Wheeler Peak. At this time of year, the Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive is partially closed (you can't get to the campground), but Mather Point is open. I actually ran into the park superintendent at Mather Point (Andy Ferguson). He seemed friendly. I show a bathroom that um, came in handy. Approximate location: 39.020411, -114.274551

Great Basin National Park: Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive Great views. The circular green structure is apparently farmland north of Baker, NV. As of this writing, it's the northernmost crop "circle" near Baker. Just south of North Fence Road and east of Nevada State Route 487.
