Grand Canyon South: Deer At South Kaibab Trailhead Right as the hikers on the "Hiker's Express Shuttle" at 5:30AM or so get off, there's a deer at the water-filling station enjoying some water. Doesn't look like a big deer, but it's still unnerving having a wild animal in your personal space as you're trying to fill a water bottle! The deer was actually sucking/slurping the water from the grate a minute or so before I actually turned the camera on. It was hilarious. This isn't quite as funny but still a sight to behold. |
